Beautiful, haunting music; flames burning along tracks; an old soldier reunited with a woman rescued; a Dutch woman who lived through it; wet eyes on wrinkled faces; horrific black-and-white film shots; emaciated bodies; a stretcher in an oven; a congregation of survivors; a black Para-Olympics medal winner in a wheelchair; the Queen lighting a candle; beautiful, deep, moving, music from gypsy and Jewish musicians - faint glimpses of Europe's brutal recent past on Dutch and British TV.
How frighteningly short our memories are in Europe. It took us only 60 years to forget how evil we have been.
