My blog entry on dandelion coffee - somewhere down there - attracted a visitor or two via google.com. By following the links from my site meter, I've discovered there's a whole new world out there that just revolves around dandelions. See Edible Weeds. Apparently the Latin name is Taraxacum officinale and means 'official remedy for disorders' (though I haven't been able to check that). It seems that instead of dosing dandelions with weed killer, we should be running out there with a trowel and digging them up to serve on toast, in hamburgers, with yoghurt and whatever else you can think of.
And while you're thinking of it, I'm just off to make a dandelion coffee...
