I'll be off home to sunny Manchester tomorrow. So packing tonight - just one little red suitcase on wheels. Already got the electronic ticket and will go via the self service check-in at Schiphol airport tomorrow.
I'll try to post to Piccadilly while I'm there but it might not be every day. My mother does have a notebook computer but won't take kindly to my spending hours on the net. Plus, she views the computer
as strictly her terrein!
PICCADILLY. Since I'm going 'home' to Manchester, I should tell those of you who don't know that my blog is named after the station there.
Manchester has two main train stations - Victoria and Piccadilly.
Piccadilly is the one that connects you to London. It's also the one
that you pass through to and from the airport. So it's a bit like the
city's international hub, connecting you to the world.
Connecting. I like the connections that a blog brings. Love opening my gmail box and finding the comments there mailed from my blog or mails from owners of other blogs who've replied to my comments on theirs. Or the other day, a question about Exeter where I used to live. And this morning there was a mail from a chap in Manchester, telling me that the Gorton Monastry - a World Monument that I've never heard of, just out of the city centre - is open this weekend; would I like to visit?
Well, I might, who knows. I could do with a bit of time in a monastery...

Beautiful post. Enjoy the trip home. Bring that little camera, I want some Manchester pix.
And yes Manchester is fabulously sunny today, with clear blue skies and leaves turning crimson and gold. Enjoy your trip.
