My site stats have trebled in the first 24 hours of being a signed-up member of Blog Explode. I now have an alarming number of visitors from BE - most of whom haven't even spent the 30 seconds on my site that would be needed to win a credit! So now, when I look through the stats, I'm looking to see who's spent more than 30 secs reading this...
Welcome, if you've just surfed here from BE. Scroll down a bit, the entries that are off-screen now are more interesting - written in the days when I had TIME to write for my blog, instead of surfing through a string of random sites.
Funny thing is, I've found that you actually get to sites that suit you quicker by picking a title intuitively out of a list (say, on Blogger Updates) than you do by just surfing at random.
I've also noticed that the sites which speak to me are often those that have roughly the same simple template as mine. Pink text on a black background just doesn't do it for me...
And, after looking at about 100 sites, I can say that there's a high incidence of insomnia among bloggers and that we tend to be cat lovers rather than dog lovers. (Blogosphere is littered with photos of cats and their kittens). Having said that, I have found one blogger who presents us with a beautiful photo of her pet dog.
That's about it for the moment. It's a grey, cold day here in Amsterdam and I have to go and raid the fridge to find something for our belated Saturday brunch.

Not me, I can't stand cats. Dogs are where it is at.
