I'm learning... a lot. Have realised that the second of the two projects that have landed on my desk is causing me a headache because it's so thoroughly badly organised. Not organised at all, in fact. It's not clear who owns the project, where the budget's coming from and there's no planning on paper showing what the milestones are, what they're going to do, what the proejcts's trying to achieve. And I'm supposed to base a communication plan on that - on thin air. No wonder it feels so daunting. I practically have to set up the whole project plan itself. Only I'm not going to do that.
Tomorrow I'm going to set out a whole series of questions and politely ask for answers to them. I may have zero experience in project management but I do have common sense ...
