Breakfast blogger

Good morning world and Happy Easter! Or am I not supposed to say that before Sunday? Always strikes me as strange that we call the Friday 'Good Friday' when we're remembering someone's cruxifiction - sorry, 'crucifixion' (had to look the word up) - which is, after all, a gruesome event. But before the God Squad descends on me, let me point out that I do know we're supposed to be celebrating His gift to the world (and that in some way that I've never been able to fathom, the death on the cross means I stand a chance of getting into heaven when I die)... I think he said very little about death and the after-life and gave us a lot of wisdom about living this life. As I've said somewhere before, if he ever comes back, I don't think he'd want to be seen dead in a church - and certainly not in so many....

I give thanks for his life and just wish his message hadn't been so thoroughly messed up and misinterpreted and used by all and sundry to justify the most horrible deeds. Happy Easter!

How on earth did I get on to this topic? It wasn't what I had in mind when I opened up my little Apple to do a bit of breakfast blogging before starting my mountain of work. Breakfast blogging is my new tactic. I'm hoping that by blogging first thing in the day, I'll have satisfied my blogging urges and - after a quick trip to google/news to catch up on the status of this World - in - Mess - I'll be ready to crack on. I've already checked gmail and found a - rare - mail from my brother with some photos attached, so that's done.
