It must be Monday...

I have that sort of Monday feeling. A deep 'oh no, it's Monday' feeling. Yes, it's a holiday here too but somehow I feel like I'm flogging a dead horse - myself - drained with energy to go on with the Task at Hand.

So I've indulged in Delay Tactic No. 1 - housework. I'm not a great housewife probably because it was one of my childhood ambitions not to be (that's one goal accomplished). But when I start a minor cleaning job, I instantly become fanatical at a micro level. Every minute bit of grease lingering under the screws that are hidden from sight by those things that fit over the gas points on top of the cooker HAS to be removed. So that took some time.

Then I sat down to read part of a book that might help with some ideas for The Paper. It was interesting but within 10 minutes I was overcome with fatigue so I tried Delay Tactic No. 2 - having a half hour snooze. (Just occurs to me, I wouldn't be able to do any of this if I had children; how do people manage? I suppose they don't do courses at the same time - though some of my colleagues do...) I DID have some ideas about The Paper while snoozing so it's not been a complete....

And now I'm into Delay Tactic No. 3 - blogging. But this is VITAL, I have to do it. And I've even had visitors who've left comments so it's even more important to have a look....

Luckily, Bud has just entered the room and told me he's going to have lie down while he massages an accupuncture point. This is good news as it means I have to switch to the Task at Hand and actually get on with the writing. Bye for now...
