I sent off a memo with smoke coming out of it to our HR people. It has had the effect of a small bomb going off. My immediate boss - who wants me in London - has stepped into the fray on my behalf. Obviously worried that I might depart.
Frankly, I'd already written it off. Only a very attractive offer will make me take the leap now.
