We're back. Bud's snoozing. I'm sat on my futon-sofa, internetting via my little portable that's perched on my lap, getting very warm now after a couple of hours. And would you believe, it's taken me two hours to remember that I have a blog to attend to!! I kept thinking there was something I meant to do other than just check my gmail account, read the google news and check the links mentioned in a book I read while away. Yes my BLOG. I have to check back in and see if anyone's left a comment - and some of you have, thanks - and should give a little update on my journeyings of the past couple of weeks.
Well, this will be the trailer to the real thing as I have to cycle down the road and by food - as we forgot to buy in for Sunday on our way home yesterday.
Where have I been? Well, it was south south west of Amsterdam, took about 17 hours to get there by car, allowing for a few stops and hold ups along the way. Theoretically, you could get there in 13 hours but then you'd probably have to travel in the dead of night. It was on the coast. We travelled in total through four countries. And the exact place where we stayed longest is near to a Greek and Roman settlement that may one day become a World Heritage site. We've been there before so we knew it was nice.
