Fired!

My immediate colleague, that is, not me. She's in London and I've never even met her. Just one more indication that the office there is a place to stay out of at all costs. The news hit us like a ton of bricks this afternoon in a brief team telephone call. Another good woman hits the dust. How many more to go? (Well, this one if I'm caught blogging about it...) What it means for me? Lots more work and a real struggle to get even one day off to do the assignment for my course. Just my luck.
How do people manage to study and work at the same time? I haven't figured it out yet. If I get up early, I'm too worn out to look at a book and if I leave it till later - around now - it doesn't feel right either. This feels like the right time to have a cup of dandelion coffee (yes, I still drink that stuff), do a little blogging and have a chat with Buddy. He seems to be in a bit better humour today. Better hop on over and get my nose in a book after all and hope that he'll be a bit more peaceful than he was last night. That's it for now. Bye.
